Whitehills in Dane End (near Ware) will host the 2nd Flamstead End Golf Society Day. Saturday the 17th February will see everyone compete for the JP Cup Stapleford Cup, two nearest the pins and a longest Drive.
Situtated up the A10 and then just off the old A10, Whitehills is a very rural golf club. The course benefits from buggies with Sat-Nav, a range and little bar with restaurant. The Course is more is still meadow than parkland but is much more open the Great hadham. The course is better kept and there are much more varying holes. There is little water but the course is normally in good condition, however we have to accept that due to this being our winter round, the weather could mean teeing mats and tempory greens. The greens are fast in the summer lets hope theres no frost that day.

Game Rules
-
Stapleford. You must score another player and yourself on the card
-
Don't cheat !! Count all shots. If you whack your drive out of bounds, your are then three off the Tee. If you lose it but did not expect to, then drop your next ball where you think it went into the bush trees etc. Dont give yourself and impossible shot but dont go and put your ball on the centre of the fairway, or close to the holes
-
No give mes in putting. Count all shots only if you can score points in Stapleford. Example, a 28 handicapper, Par 3= pick up your ball if you have had 6 shots and not holed out, Par 4 = 7 shots, Par 5 = 8 Shots.
-
Pick and Place: Winter Rules will apply, if your on the fair way only, you can pick up your ball, clean it and place it down no nearer the hole.
-
Nearest the Pin = Must be on the green, not edge. Put marker where ball is and write your name on paper on edge of green. Final Group please pick up the markers etc.
-
Longest Drive = Must be on the fairway. Once against sign paper if your the longest, last group pick up the marker.
-
There will a quick collection for charity after the game. Also for every non-scoring hole (stapleford Rules) you owe 50p
-
Enjoy the Day. BUT PLEASE BE DON'T MESS ABOUT AS WE WONT BE ABLE TO GO TO BETTER COURSES IN THE FUTURE. THERES PLENTY OF TIME TO MESS ABOUT AFTER OR EVEN THAT EVENING !!!!!!!!!!!!
