Longest Drive review
The uphill 18th hole was once again the longest drive hole. Big Dave Kenney took this last year going out in the first group, all longest drives and not seen the lead change much in the past, but this was different this year. Ian Shorey spanked one up there to put the marker in for the first group. PG tips with his square driver bounced over Shoreys on the rights side of the fairway to re-place the market. Matt Pemberton in the third group put his a few feet behind this marker but on the left, while Reevo flew at least 80 yards over but into the light rough where the fairway narrowed. Phil in the 4th group then took the lead but it was the last group that took the this prize. Big Dave Kenney once again got his name on the marker but Scot Major who is always a favourite for the cup blasted his ball up the left handed to take the longest drive, his first prize on the tour.

WhiteHills
Winner Dave Kenney
Dave Kenney became our 2nd Longest Drive winner with the biggest hit of the day at Whitehills. Once again the winner came from the opening group. The wind built up during the day and most people drive was into a strong wind. Dave believed he did'nt hit it right but it ended up in the middle of the fairway short of the post but further than the 2nd bunker. Its Official Dave is the biggest hitter on tour
Great Hadham
Winner Nic Coppola
Nic Coppola hit a straight drive in the first group and nobody could beat it. The drive was not long for his standards, about 220-240 yards but the fairway was tight and everyone went for power. Matt Pembo in the 2nd group hit his drive but was about 5-10 yards short. Reevo spanked but well past but was off the fairway. Nic escapes with the money
Rules are easy: Smack your drive as hard and far a possible ,your ball must be on the fairway else the longest drive does not count. There will be a marker somewhere on the fairway. If your drive is longer (on the fairway confirmed by the rest of four ball) then stick the market in the ground and write your name on the tag crossing out the last name.
The last group need to pick up the marker
